Motorbike Shows
Motorcycle Live
One of the biggest motorbike events of the year happens here in Birmingham in 2024! Awards, celebrities, special talks, trade shows – everything you could possibly want from one of the biggest motorbike shows in the country happens at the NEC Birmingham 16th – 24th November 2024. There are four halls, all aimed at different parts of the motorbike world – why not head to hall two and have a free go at Aluminium welding? There are free service demos, repair workshops, and more in this one space. Don’t forget to head to hall 3 for the ever-popular wheel change challenge on the Black Horse Stage.
If you go to one motorbike event this year, make sure it’s this one.
Adventure Bike Rider Festival
Slightly further afield, but you certainly wouldn’t want to miss it, is the Adventure Bike Rider Festival, which takes place at Ragley Hall, Alcester. It’s three days of riding, music, stalls, and endless motorbike entertainment. A previous visitor has described it as ‘like Glastonbury with motorbikes and posh toilets’ – which is as good a description as any! A stand-out feature of the festival is the number of trails, ride-outs, and riding assessments, which are also available across the three days. Whether you want to participate actively, are interested in the opinions of others, or perhaps just want to party with like-minded people, this festival will have something you’ll love.
All-Year Motorbike Events
National Motorbike Museum
The National Motorbike Museum is definitely worth a visit for anyone even slightly interested in motorbikes. It has over 1000 vehicles in its collection and is home to the world’s largest collection of British motorbikes. There are even bikes for sale that have been carefully restored by museum staff members. There are public tours free of charge every Friday at 11.30, so time your visit well.
Doss Biker Meet and Bike Parts Market
Taking place on the last Saturday of every month at Joe Joe Jim’s Bar, this is a great opportunity for getting together with fellow motorbike lovers to chat about anything and everything related to motorbikes. You can even buy, sell, or swap anything bike-related – spare parts, clothes, and even bikes!
Biker Haunts
The Mann Cave – Chas Mann
A wonderful mix of motorcycle/scooter dealership and a biker hang out – just head ‘upstairs at Chas Mann’s’ if you want to find out the latest event. You can join in the Saturday ride out or head upstairs for breakfast or a cocktail, depending on the time of day. There’s a great vibe, and it’s very welcoming. What’s more, there is plenty of parking, too!
Black Horse Illey
A great pub that caters to all tastes, whether you want a quick bite or a full-blown meal with trimmings. One of the events they put on is a biker night on Mondays from 7pm, so if you’re in the area, head on over!
The White Lion Inn
If you’re heading for a day trip to the National Motorcycle Museum, then take the time to head to the White Lion Inn – just 2 miles down the road. It’s not renowned as a biker haunt, but it’s got great food and drink and is a beautiful place to sit and relax for a bit. With plenty of safe parking and a great place to sit out, it’s definitely worth a stop with some biker mates.
We hope this Guide helps you plan your next ride out!
