Motorbike Shows

Motorbike enthusiasts everywhere are called to the motorbike shows in London! The largest, of course, is the London Motorcycle Show that takes place every year. This year, the guest of honour was Jorge Martin – a rare appearance from the racing star. You could also find bike simulators, a host of new models from bike manufacturers, talks on planning out perfect touring rides, live-action demonstrations, and so much more. In 2024, it was held 16-18 Feb at the London Excel Centre – it’s often at the same time each year, so keep an eye out for tickets for next year!

There’s also the Bike Shed MotoShow – an annual motorcycle exhibition that hosts 500 exhibitors, 300 custom bikes, 9 bars, 5 live bands, talk stations, tattoo artists, and pretty much whatever you could want at a bike show. It’s from 24-26 May 2024, so get your ticket now!

All-Year Motorbike Events

If your trip to London doesn’t match up with one of the bike shows, then why not look at some of the museums?

VC London

The group is rooted in motorbike culture, though they’ve now expanded to include other activities too. They regularly have bike talks and riding info at the monthly meet-up – the first Wednesday of each month at The Bike Shed. They also have regular dirt days for anyone wanting to get into dirt riding.

Biker Down – Motorbike Safety Course

This is a free safety course held by the London Fire Brigade on various dates throughout the year. Check out the website (https://www.london-fire.gov.uk/safety/road-safety/motorbike-safety-course-biker-down/) for info if you want to spruce up during your trip.

Indian Motorcycle London

The prestigious location in Kensington High Street has made it double as a showcase for the whole range of Indian motorcycles, accessories, and even the heritage of the brand. It’s touted as an experience centre more than just a shop floor.

Borough Market

On Wednesday, the London Bikers Forum have their regular meet-up in Borough Market (along Stoney Street) – perfect to head along to and meet like-minded people who might know more events or places to go during your stay. There are always people there, no matter the weather.

Biker Haunts

The Bike Shed

One of the most popular biker haunts in the city, The Bike Shed, has great food and great drinks, and they even have secure parking for your ride. They’re not just a café; they also have a brilliant shop with bike accessories and clothing. They also host regular events, including MotoGP events – so there will always be something on.

Blackheath Tea Hut

A tiny little tea shop located at the top of Shooter’s Hill in Greenwich Park but surrounded by stunning views and lush parkland.

Hard Rock Café

Nice and central in Piccadilly, this site is more touristy than others, but it’s still very motorbike friendly. 100 Harley Davidsons gathered there to honour the café’s 25th birthday before riding to Paris to the sister café.
